2 New Projects

I have bought myself some of those plastic outdoor chairs to put on my front porch this summer. My plans are to make some pillows to put in them and decorate with. I was flipping through an issue of Australian Homespun and came across this quilted wall hanging. Now I'm not interested in the hanging but the cats really caught my eye. I think they would be purr-fect for a set of pillows. Don't you?

While browsing through my fabrics for the cats I came across these pillow blocks I had got at an op-shop for 50 cents. So after tracing out my cats I grabbed these blocks and started stitching on them. Now that will make me a couple sets of pillows to interchange out with when I want to.

Another thing I would like to share with you today is my cherry purse. I had sewn up this purse about a year ago and have been searching for just the right embellishment for it. I happen to be browsing over on http://cherryhillcottage.typepad.com and came across a purse that Tina was using to put envelopes in and loved it. So I made myself a cute accessory for my purse and I love toting it around. I'm thinking about possibly putting a plant in it not sure just yet.

Yeah! I have a partner!

I'm so excited as I have signed up for the Wicked Witch Switch swap. (http://wickedwitchswitch.blogspot.com/) Creative juices are flowing. How can they not?! I LOVE Halloween and anything to deal with it and when I found this swap I knew it was for me and quickly signed up. I'm looking forward to seeing my partner's survey to find out what she likes. Today while I'm out I'm going to spot out what I can in the way of witchy and spooky Halloween gear. I think we all are going to have great fun with this one!
The picture above is a set of Kitchen Witch dolls that I crocheted last year. You can find the pattern at www.crochetpatterncentral.com under the categories of dolls or Halloween. I adapted it for myself and used the artist Brigid Ashwood's kitchen witches as inspiration.

I've been slack.....

As you all can see it's been a while since my last posting. Yes, I admit...I've been slack. LOL But I've found new inspiration from viewing some really wonderful blogs and am eager to get back on the wagon. So will be posting something here in the next day or so that will hopefully interest y'all and keep you coming back to visit.
